Samuel, competing in the Heavyweight category, was part of a 12 person UELSports Taekwondo that came third in the compeition overall, despite competing for points with other teams that had up to 40 members.
He said “UEL obtained an overall 3rd place as a team, which is such a good result since we had only 12 participants, and come over other universities with more than 20 players, as an example, Southampton University came 1st as a team, but they had also around 30 or 40 players.”
UELSports Taekwondo Club’s success at the National Championships marks another impressive results in what has been a good season for the club.
