A day of fitness and fun at UEL SportsDock

SportsDock – the official training headquarters of Team USA for the London 2012 Olympics, and a state-of-the-art £21 million sports facility located in UEL’s Docklands Campus, partnered with RIP Fitness – the well-known personal training and community fitness services provider in the East London area to hold the one day fitness class event – Fit Fest on the 10th February.

More than 300 attendees from all walks of life took part in this electrifying one day event. Delivered by some of the UK’s best fitness class instructors, Fit Fest blended fitness,

entertainment and culture into an exhilarating one-day workout. Dance-style classes like

Zumba, which mixes the upbeat world rhythms with easy-to-follow choreography,

provided all participants with an effective and total-body workout.
“I enjoyed every minute of it at this class. It’s such a great fun and I can’t wait to do it again,” said participant Sarina Duggall. Holistic-style classes like Yoga and Pilates that utilise a series of exercises to help strengthen the core and develop muscle strength and proper alignment throughout the entire body, proved to be appealing to the majority of participants.
“Yoga involves synchronising the breath with a progressive series of postures which is a process of producing intense internal heat and purifying sweat and detoxifying muscles and organs. The result is improved circulation, a light and strong body and a calm mind,” said Instructor Andrea, “I look forward to taking part in such a wonderful event again”.

SportsDock is planning to host such kind of event again in May. For more information about the exercise classes you can try at SportsDock, please visit:  http://www.sportsdock.co.uk/classes
