On Wednesday 15th February UEL rugby played Queen Mary’s in a league match at home at East London Rugby Club; an important match for both teams, being first and second at the top of the table.
The first points of the match went to Queen Mary’s with an early try, which was also successfully converted.
However, UEL did not let this damped their spirits. UEL went on to score the next try, and Charlie Wilson successfully converted. This left the score equal at 7-7. UEL used their driving force to score another try in the first half, which was also successfully converted, leaving the score at 14-7 at half time.
UEL started the second half in the lead, and carried on scoring points, with another try 55 minutes into the game. Charlie Wilson successfully converted with an excellent kick. The score stood at 21-7. UEL finished off the match with other try, securing a bonus point win. The conversion was again successful, and the final score was 28-7.
Well done to the whole UEL Men’s team for their perseverance and team spirit throughout the match.
